portfolio announcements

level zero health: revolutionizing hormone monitoring

Level Zero Health (RAC VII) is transforming hormone health by building a real-time, wearable monitoring device to improve care for IVF, menopause, testosterone therapy, and beyond. Traditional blood tests provide only a single snapshot — Level Zero Health’s nanotechnology and DNA-based biosensing will enable remote and non-invasive monitoring, paving the way for more personalized and data-driven care. We're proud to support them on this mission by leading their $6.9M pre-seed funding round, backing their vision to make precision hormone health accessible to all.

Founded by Ula Rustamova (ex-Palantir, deeptech entrepreneur) and Irene Jia (bioengineer, Imperial College London), the team combines expertise in software and science to bring next-generation diagnostics to millions. “We revolutionized blood pressure monitoring — now we’re doing the same for hormones,” said redalpine investor and board member, Philip.

magdrive: pioneering next-generation space propulsion

Satellites have faced a trade-off between maneuverability, efficiency, and sustainability in space for too long. Enter Magdrive (RAC VII). What sets Magdrive's electric spacecraft propulsion system apart is its unrivaled thrust and efficiency, which will allow spacecraft to travel farther and be more maneuverable than ever before. Magdrive uses solid metal as propellant – which could eventually even be sourced and refueled from recycled ‘space junk’ or asteroid mining.

We’re proud to lead Magdrive’s $10.5M seed round, with participation from Balerion, Founders Fund, Alumni Ventures, Outsized Ventures, 7percent Ventures, and Entrepreneur First Fund. With their first in-space test scheduled for June, Magdrive is set to redefine propulsion for the satellite industry and beyond. As our GP Harald puts it: “Magdrive’s breakthrough propulsion system will make ambitious space missions a reality."

event highlights

redalpine at Frankfurt Digital Finance

At Frankfurt Digital Finance, Sebastian joined a panel discussion on one of the biggest challenges for AI startups in Europe: Over-regulation and funding gaps.

While Europe has world-class AI talent, too many of its best founders are leaving for the U.S., drawn by faster scaling opportunities, fewer regulatory hurdles, and more capital availability. To stay competitive, Europe must create an environment where AI companies can build, scale, and thrive. Investing in AI applications, compliance tools, and breakthrough innovations like nuclear fusion is key.

With strong commitments from policymakers and investors, there’s momentum—but Europe must act now to turn its strengths into global leadership.

what we're reading

Why it matters: Scientists at Imperial College London spent 10 years unraveling why some superbugs resist antibiotics. Google’s AI tool solved it in 48 hours—and even proposed new hypotheses. This breakthrough highlights AI’s potential to accelerate scientific discovery, reshape medical research, and revolutionize problem-solving across disciplines. However, there are differing views on how broadly this success can be applied, and the full implications remain to be seen. Some experts believe this could lead to faster drug development and new ways to combat antibiotic resistance, a growing global health crisis.
